Thank you for your interest in joining the circular economy at Thistle & Poppy!

We’re excited to launch our resale program for kids’ clothing, books, and toys.

Due to limited floor space, our secondhand section is highly curated, with a focus on vintage pieces and brands with sustainable or ethical practices.

Each year, millions of garments end up in landfills—often after just a few wears. At Thistle & Poppy, we’re passionate about changing that. Our new resale program is one small way we can contribute to a more circular, thoughtful approach to fashion—one that values reuse, sustainability, and style that lasts.

Read through our guidelines below. If they sound good to you, go ahead and book a drop-off appointment below!

🌞 Now Accepting Summer Styles!

We’re currently taking warm-weather pieces for our resale program. Think breezy cotton, lightweight linen, sun hats, swimsuits, sandals, and playful summer prints. Please hold off on heavy layers or cold-weather items for now — thank you!

Thistle & Poppy Resale Guidelines

  • Schedule a drop-off by booking an appointment online below. You may drop any time during open hours on the day you select.
  • We do not sort and price items at the time of your appointment. We’ll review everything within seven days and notify you via text or email once we've completed sorting.
  • Payouts (cash or store credit) will be issued within 48 hours of your notification.
  • Items we are unable to accept will be held for 14 days. We’ll send two reminders to pick them up. After 14 days, any unclaimed items will be donated to a local nonprofit.
  • Please limit drop-offs to 20 items at a time. Bring items in brown paper grocery bags or reusable totes you’re okay parting with, clearly labeled with your name, phone number, and email.
  • We offer 35% of the resale price in cash (via Venmo or check) or 50% in store credit.
  • Store credit applies to secondhand items only and cannot be used toward new inventory. Credit is non-transferable to cash and does not expire, except in the case of relocation or closure (see below).

About Store Credit & Location Changes

Because our current space is temporary and we may relocate within the next year, please note:

  • Any outstanding store credit will be valid until the time of move or closure.
  • Upon relocation or closing, we will notify you and offer the option to redeem your credit in-store or convert it to cash within 30 days of the notice.
  • Credit not redeemed within this period will expire.
Thank you for understanding as we navigate this transitional phase!

How We Price Items

We determine resale pricing based on a mix of factors including overall condition, brand demand, materials, and seasonal fit. All pricing is done at our discretion, and we do not provide itemized breakdowns.

By dropping off your items, you're acknowledging and accepting our approach to pricing.

We kindly ask that you review our guidelines beforehand and only bring in pieces you feel confident letting go of. To keep things running smoothly, we’re not able to offer pricing adjustments or respond to follow-up questions about individual item values. Thanks for helping us keep the process respectful and efficient for everyone involved.

Item Condition

  • Free of major stains, rips, pet hair, and damage
  • Laundered
  • Pockets emptied
  • Neatly folded in your drop-off bags
