Join us on the morning of April 27th at 11:00am for story time!
Every May 1 of my childhood, my sisters and I would sneak over to our neighbor's house with a small homemade basket filled with clippings from our lilac bush. We'd hang it on the door handle, ring the doorbell, and run home.
May Baskets are a very old and oft forgotten tradition, but they offer a beautiful way to bring joy and connection to our friends and neighbors.
This Sunday at 11am, Teacher Emë will be reading the gorgeously illustrated book Have You Ever Seen a Flower?. After, we will lead an easy craft activity to make a cone-shaped basket that your kiddo (or you!) can fill with flowers on May 1st to (sneakily!) bring to a neighbor.
This event is free.
Children are welcome to play in our play area while they listen. We hope adults have a moment to mingle, shop, or take a load off and have a cup of tea :)
